Clinical Supervision

We offer clinical supervision to qualified counsellors, students in training and those involved in the education, care and health sectors ie therapists, mental health workers, teachers, social workers, and nurses. Research shows that regular, independent clinical supervision reduces the risks associated with unethical practice to the public and organisations and reduces the impact of compassion fatigue/burnout on staff.

As experienced, integrative therapists, social and health care professionals, we have always recognised and valued supervision of ourselves and our casework.  We utilise a variety of supervision models including the “7-eyed” model sometimes called the Process Model.  However we also integrate the IDM model, adjusting approaches as the supervision relationship requires and where relevant for the supervisee and their client group.

We offer the same ethical and counselling values to our supervisees, as we do for our therapy clients.  Putting the focus on you as the practitioner, your wellbeing and safety, the environment/ organisational setting and culture you are working/studying in, and the clients you are actively working with.

As a team, we have extensive experience of working in a variety of NHS, education, social care and voluntary settings. A flexible and collaborative approach is offered that firstly focusses on the wellbeing of the supervisee then on caseload management and if appropriate, training.

Many students have commented that they have found working with us has opened up how beneficial a bio-psycho-social model approach has helped their clients and personal development. We have worked in primary/secondary NHS settings, local authorities, along with occupational health and private practice so can offer support in terms of seeking job opportunities and setting up private practice.

We offer supervision in both groups and for individuals (face to face and online/Skype).
